I am not a good instructions follower but I am a good perfectionist 🙈 Relate so much to the needing to have things perfect to achieve or just do anything in life. Its a slow long process to undo.

It sure is a long process! The little wins along the way are definitely worth celebrating 💛

I made the same error with door knob installation after painting a door. Of course, I blamed the door knob.

Blame can be a wonderful outlet for frustration… when directed at a doorknob. 😉 😊

Funny-not-funny side note is that I even took special care to notice which direction the old one was facing before I removed it… yet still got distracted and reinstalled the new one backwards. 😝

Nice. Sounds like me, only I didn't even bother to notice the direction prior to removal.

I still blame the door knob for not knowing how to "fit in."

I have installed some seriously challenging doorknobs in many houses, and it never occurred to me to read the instructions. I mean, those instructions are designed for a perfect world, and that ain't where I live. Apparently neither do you, and that makes this world feel way better.

You’re the best Robin.

But dang am I glad this doorknob was an easy one 😉

Wait, you're saying you can just do your thing, make mistakes, fix the mistakes... and no one cares??? You mean I don't have to read the instructions letter by letter, triple-check everything, and get it perfect the first time? 🤯

Weird, right?? And so many perfectly good self-judgments going to waste! But it’s worth it. 💕
